Microcosm's Space Mission Analysis and
Design (SMAD) process is discussed in detail in the first four chapters of the
Space Mission Analysis and Design book. The SMAD process is a broad outline of
how to go about meeting the mission requirements at minimum cost and risk. This
process is typically tailored to meet the needs of specific missions or
studies. The following figure is the top level SMAD process. |
