Magnetic Torquers for Spacecraft
Microcosm offers high performance torquers available at low cost. Systems engineering and control system support can also be provided, which allows for correct torquer sizing for complex missions. The torquers are produced with short delivery times, even when custom designs or changes, such as voltage requirements, etc., are requested.

Torquer Sizing
Torquers are usually used in combination with momentum wheels and/or gravity gradient booms. The momentum capacity, the control law implementation and the environmental disturbances then determine the required dipole moment size. The most accurate sizing can be done with an attitude simulator that includes control laws, such as Microcosm's AttSim software package.

The Microcosm Torquer Feedback System (MTFS)* uses a feedback signal to extend the linear range of a torquer, adjusting automatically for non-linear hysteresis. This system can increase performance and provide more system design flexibility.
