testing launcher elements to low-cost scientific research and
military target vehicles. From left to right are the SR-S, single
engine, single stage vehicle; the SR-1, 3-engine, single stage
vehicle; and the SR-2, 6-engine, 2-stage vehicle. Each vehicle in
the sequence represents both increased performance and testing of
additional elements of the launch-to-orbit family.
